PUBLIC ADVISORY: EMBASSY CLOSURE ON 9 AND 23 OCTOBER 2022

The public is advised that the Embassy will be closed on 09 (Sunday) and 23 (Sunday) October 2022 in observance of the Birth of Prophet Muhammad and Liberation Day, respectively.

Applicants with confirmed appointments during said dates will be accommodated beginning the next day following the dates mentioned, upon which Embassy operations have resumed.

5TH KAPIHAN SA PASUGUAN HELD IN TRIPOLI; NEW CDA BARES PLANS FOR FILCOM IN LIBYA

Tripoli, 01 October 2022 – The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, conducted its fifth “Kapihan sa Pasuguan,” at its Chancery in East Janzour, Tripoli, Libya, yesterday, 30 September 2022. This is the third time for members of the Filipino community in the capital.

During the event, the Embassy introduced new Chargé d’Affaires Alan Roi Q. Gabriola. Close to fifty Filcom members, including some coming from Misurata and Sirte, attended the afternoon event.

CDA Gabriola bared the Embassy’s plans and priorities under the new leadership. “Prayoridad ng Pasuguan ang ihanda ang Filipino community sa dalawang posibilidad---una, ang muling pagkakaroon ng kaguluhan, at pangalawa, ang kasalungat nito, ang panunumbalik ng kapayapaan at kaayusan sa bansang ito," he said.

CDA Gabriola shared that during the months of October and November the Embassy will conduct successive jobsite visits to assess first-hand the condition of Filipinos at work, roll out mapping activities and issuance of consular IDs to account for all Filipinos currently in Libya, and meet with Libyan authorities to discuss concerns of Filipinos in the labor and health sectors.

PHILIPPINE EMBASSY HEAD PRESENTS OPEN LETTER OF CREDENCE

PHL Embassy Chargé d'Affaires en pied Alan Roi Quilino Gabriola presented his Open Letter of Credence to Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Director of Protocol Salah Al-Ragi'e on 29 September 2022. In the meeting, both sides discussed the strengthening of relations between the Philippines and Libya. END
