RTBs are part of the Philippine government’s savings mobilization program designed to make government securities accessible to retail investors and promote financial literacy in the Philippines. RTB 28 is a 5.5-year, low-risk, fixed-income investment, which will provide interest on a quarterly basis. Proceeds from the issuance will be directed to the emergency, recovery, and resiliency funds of the Philippines to support it following the effects brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar will be hosted by the Bureau of the Treasury in coordination with the Embassy. It aims to introduce overseas Filipinos in the Embassy’s jurisdiction to RTB28 as a savings and investment facility as well as the risks associated with the bonds and the ways to invest. END
