PRESENTATION OF CDA DAYANGS LETTER OF CREDENTIALS TO FOREIGN MINISTER NAJLA MOHAMMED EL MANGOUSH

 

Philippine Embassy in Tripoli Charge d’Affaires, e.p. Juan E. Dayang, Jr., presented his letter of credentials to Foreign Minister Najla Mohammed El Mangoush.

Foreign Minister Mangoush expressed her appreciation to the Philippines citing the invaluable contributions of Filipino migrants in Libya through the years. She said that she has met good-natured Filipino nurses who worked with her father who served as a medical doctor in Benghazi. She also expressed her greetings to Secretary Teodoro Locsin, Jr. whom she wish to personally meet.

In an earlier meeting with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, CDA Dayang highlighted Libya’s role in the peace in the Southern Philippines (Tripoli Agreement of 1976), interfaith dialogue, and people-to-people exchanges (Filipino scholars, Engineers in Oil Fields and Nurses). He said that the Philippines supports the stability and reconstruction of Libya towards peace and development. END
