ANNOUNCEMENT: KAPIHAN SA PASUGUAN
“Kabayan, tara, kape tayo!”
In an effort to reach out to Filipinos in its jurisdiction, the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, launches “Kapihan sa Pasuguan.”
The first “kapihan” will be held next Saturday, 23 July 2022, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Embassy Grounds in Janzour Al Sharqiya.
During the event, the Embassy will hold simultaneous breakout group meetings among members of the Filipino Community, primarily to assess Embassy programs and services.
We will also introduce the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Rabat, Morocco, (joining virtually) and its programs and services.

Upang maabot ang mga Pilipino sa nasasakupan nito, inilulunsad ng Pasuguan ng Pilipinas sa Tripoli, Libya, ang “Kapihan sa Pasuguan.”
Gaganapin ang unang “kapihan” sa susunod na Sabado, ika-23 ng Hulyo 2022, mula alas-2:00 n.h. hanggang alas-5:00 n.h. sa Embassy Grounds sa Janzour Al Sharqiya.
Sa araw na iyon, magsasagawa ang Pasuguan ng simultaneous breakout group meetings kasama ang mga miyembro ng Filipino Community. Pangunahing layunin nito ay suriin ang mga programa at serbisyo ng Pasuguan.
Ipakikilala rin namin ang Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) sa Rabat, Morocco, (sasali sa pamamagitan ng Zoom o Google Meet) at ang mga programa at serbisyo nito.

MUSLIM FILIPINOS IN TRIPOLI GATHER FOR PRAYER AT EMBASSY GROUNDS ON EID AL-ADHA
Tripoli, 09 July 2022 - Around 100 Muslim members of the Filipino Community in Libya gathered for morning salah at the Philippine Embassy grounds on the morning of Saturday, 9 July, during the occasion of this year’s Eid al-Adha or the “Festival of Sacrifice.”
After the salah and sermons, Chargé d’Affaires, a.i. Rowell G. Casaclang delivered a short message in Filipino.
He said, “Nais kong ipaabot ang aming taus-pusong pasasalamat sa inyong pagtugon sa aming paanyaya na idaos ang inyong selebrasyon ng Eid al-Adha dito. (I would like to extend our sincere gratitude for accepting our invitation to host your Eid al-Adha celebration here.)”
CDA Casaclang shared his thoughts on the significance of the occasion. He said, “Malaki ang aking pasasalamat sa okasyon na ito na nagsilbing paalala sa akin bilang isang Kristiyano at higit sa lahat, bilang isang opisyal ng gobyerno ng mga magagandang katangian ng pagiging matapat, masunurin, at matulungin sa kapwa. (I am very grateful that this occasion served as a reminder to me as a Christian and above all, as a government official, of the virtues of honesty, obedience, and service to others.).
The event also had a sacrifice of karuf (sheep) and a simple breakfast served to the participants.
The Eid al-Adha holiday in Libya began on the evening of Friday, 9 July, and ended on Monday, 11 July. END
