ANNOUNCEMENT: KAPIHAN SA PASUGUAN IN BENGHAZI
Following the success of its first two sessions of “𝘬𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘩𝘢𝘯” in Tripoli and Tunis last month, the Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya brings “Kapihan sa Pasuguan” to Benghazi, Libya.
The event will be held this 𝗙𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭𝟵 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟮, 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗣.𝗠. 𝘁𝗼 𝟰:𝟬𝟬 𝗣.𝗠., 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 (𝗣𝗖𝗔𝗜) in Benghazi.
During the event, the Embassy will hold simultaneous breakout group meetings among members of the Filipino Community to talk about their needs and what programs and services could address these needs.

ONLINE FINANCIAL LITERACY SESSION ON RETAIL TREASURY BONDS (RTB) TRANCHE 28
The Philippine Embassy in Tripoli, Libya, wishes to invite overseas Filipinos in Algeria, Chad, Libya, Niger, and Tunisia to an online financial literacy session on Retail Treasury Bonds (RTB) Tranche 28 on 26 August 2022 (Friday) from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. (DZ, TD, NE, and TN time) | 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M (LY time) | 5:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. (PH time) | http://bit.ly/RTB28Roadshow via Zoom
RTBs are part of the Philippine government’s savings mobilization program designed to make government securities accessible to retail investors and promote financial literacy in the Philippines. RTB 28 is a 5.5-year, low-risk, fixed-income investment, which will provide interest on a quarterly basis. Proceeds from the issuance will be directed to the emergency, recovery, and resiliency funds of the Philippines to support it following the effects brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The webinar will be hosted by the Bureau of the Treasury in coordination with the Embassy. It aims to introduce overseas Filipinos in the Embassy’s jurisdiction to RTB28 as a savings and investment facility as well as the risks associated with the bonds and the ways to invest. END
CONSULAR OUTREACH IN BENGAZI ON 19 AUGUST 2022
Only passport release and passport data capture would be done onsite.
Claimants of new passports are required to present 1) original receipt and 2) old passport (for renewal applicants) prior to release of the new passports. In case the claimant is not able to claim his/her passport, an authorized representative could do so in his/her behalf, provided that 1) authorization letter and 2) original ID of authorized representative are also presented.
Meanwhile, applicants for a new passport are advised to book an appointment by accessing the Global Online Application System (GOAS) via https://www.passport.gov.ph/. Passport applicants who already have a confirmed appointment through GOAS will be given priority.
Please be reminded that on the day of the mission, passport applicants must bring the application packet from the confirmation email received and one set each of original and photocopy of the requirements. The requirements are listed here: https://consular.dfa.gov.ph/services/passport/requirements.
Lastly, applications for travel and notarial services will be accommodated provided that requirements are sent via email at This email address is being protected from spambots. On the day of the mission, applicants must submit original of the emailed requirements before issuance of the signed travel/ notarial documents. END
